I made a clean installation of Avast, and Safezone Browser was not installed by default. I had to make a Repair of Avast to get the Safezone Browser installed. Is this normal?
Maybe something like: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=208265.0
The SafeZone Browser is history.

Ok, thanks for the information!
It states that it will be replaced by a newer version. Those that currently use SafeZone Browser will automatically be updated
to that new version when it’s released.
No, it says that it will be replaced by a new browser and that is not the same as a new version.
Besides, if software is discontinued there will never be new version at all
“If you already have SafeZone Browser installed on your PC, you will be automatically upgraded to our latest browser as soon as it is released.”
That’s the direct quote from the Avast site you posted.
Learn to read.
It clearly says “upgraded to our latest browser” which is not the same as “SafeZone Browser”
From September 2017, SafeZone Browser is being discontinued and will no longer be distributed. Our new browser, which includes a range of new security and privacy tools, will be available for download in the near future. If you already have SafeZone Browser installed on your PC, you will be automatically upgraded to our latest browser as soon as it is released.
Above is the full quote from the link. Whether the new browser is also called SafeZone Browser is a matter of conjecture.
Ups … no more SafeZone Browser with the last update…
What’s coming next? We will see …
I’m running the latest version of Avast and my SafeZone Browser is still working just fine.

Mine, too. It doesn’t uninstall it, at least not yet. Perhaps when the replacement for SafeZone Browser is installed.
Hi guys
Avast has ended their agreement with Opera.
And acquired “Safer” browser ( see attached screenshot ).
Greetz, Red.
A quick search yields https://www.safer.com/.
Reading there touts monetization and replacing lost revenue, etc.
A link there to Secure Browser, https://www.securebrowser.com/.
I see nothing there that states FREE
I don’t, either. It’s all about the money, and helping third parties increase their monetization of browser add-ons, etc.
