Hi All,
I’ve been using Safezone for a while now and it is really slow. If I click on my bank site for instance, I wait about a minute for the site to access. Is there an adjustment I can make or is it just slow by nature?
Try Opera as browser. It may speed-up things a lot.
I’m talking about my Safezone browser that is included in Avast Pro, not my regular browser. My regular browser is Firefox that is fast.
Have you read TIHS?
Hi Eddie, All I see is a chart. What am I looking at?
Your reference to a previous thread talks about safezone switching. Not a problem for me. Just painfully slow accessing links in my bank site.
The Safe Zone browser sometimes takes a few seconds to completely resolve the proxies it runs through to make it secure. I have found that it’s better to wait until it displays the default Avast page before trying to go anywhere else. Then it’s very fast.
Dch48 - I wait for the default page as well. It seems like it might be my bank’s fault as the few other sites I have on Safezone aren’t that slow to respond. The bank site comes up at a normal rate but after I sign in and click an account it takes for ever. The only thing is, that my bank loads fast in my Chrome and Waterfox browsers.
I just checked and the speed in the Safe Zone and in IE9 for my banking site is just about the same.
Hi Eddie, All I see is a chart. What am I looking at?The link is to another thread on this webboard. If you see a chart, there really is something wrong with your system. Infected? It could be.
Firefox fast? If you really believe that, you have no clue what a fast (and safe) browser is.
Update: After further investigating I find that Safezone IS the culprit. Besides the problem above, after I exit SafeZone, windows I access are sometimes about a third the size of the screen. F11 doesn’t help, and the only way to fix is to restart windows. It was suggested I reinstall Avast, so I’m going to wait to install V8, and not use SafeZone in the mean time.
Try this: open GUI → Additional Protection → SafeZone → Settings → Reset SafeZone → restart PC

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ve tried that twice.
