Despite a Sticky Topic showing a newer little bit version out at top, can’t get the darn thing to update, when it checks for updates, states error has occurred and then doesn’t update, decided to use Safezone as my 3rd browser after clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64bit, as wanna make sure files stay cleaner than previously when I was just using Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer.
Ok First tried Avast Repair–No dice in Safezone updating correctly after reboot with that, then did full removal of Avast Free, including ccleaner registry cleaning, temp folder cleaning, restarted, reinstalled, restarted again, Autoupdater task ran a few minutes, opened Safezone still 1.51.2220.53, had next to it, Checking for updates, then displayed Error occurred.
I could just Remove Safezone Component, and just live with Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11 if comes down to it
the .62 version should be delivered to you via browser update. If you repair Avast, it will not help…
Please open browser and go to about page. Does it say something like “downloading a new version” or “new version is available”?
If not, it could be problem in update config file. Please restart your PC, let it run for 5 minutes and then attach your config.def file here… It is in Avast program files.
Ok i’d have to reinstall Safezone browser part, as I removed that part when it said “error occurred while updating or something to that affect long ago” using 12.3.2280 on my Windows 10 Pro Desktop, clean installed back in September
