SafeZone Browser

I have AIS & for whatever reason SafeZone Browser does not work anymore! The message I get is:

Your profile could not be opened correctly.

Some features may be unavailable. Please check that the profile exists and you have permission to read and write its contents.

So what the heck does this mean??

try avast repair and see if that changes anything…

Try this first

Settings > Tools > SafeZone > Customise > Reset safezone

Please remove all that blank space.

I would love to, don’t know how!

No that didn’t work.

Nor did this. So what now? Uninstall and reinstall?

click modify in top right corner of your first post … put your mouse marker at the bottom right, then use backspace button

I can’t imagine what I’m doing wrong but obviously something as this doesn’t seem to work! I page down, space my cursor to the far right hand of this message, press backspace and it backspaces to the right and does nothing!! Just sits on the left, I move to the right again and same results. I would have thought all I had to do was start on the left and hit delete and it would delete the lines but that doesn’t work either.

Needless to say this is making me crazy!!!

Click on this link:

At the top right corner of the post click modify.

Put the cursor after the last text.
Hold down shift and press the arrow down button till you reach the end.
This will select all the empty space.
Let all buttons go and click the delete button.

Thank you, thank you, thank you & I’m sure everybody reading this topic thanks you too!!

Now I just need to get my SafeZone Browser issue cleared up.

So is there answer to this safezone browser issue?

I see two more threads on this topic:

https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=162407.0

https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=161756.0 - on this topic Vladimyr replies: From version 2015, SafeZone no longer “appears” on systems with non-SSE2 processors (e.g. AMD socket 462 Sempron/Athlon XP) because the latest Chromium browser does not co-operate.

Since my processor is AMD (not Intel) does this mean that I will not be able to use SafeZone because it is no longer compatible with Chrome?

Do I need to uninstall & reinstall Avast or is it wasting my time because it still won’t work? I use this option frequently and want to have it working!!! It is one of the reasons I pay for Avast rather than using the free version.

As Vladimyr said, it depends on the cpu you have.
The cpu (doesn’t mather what brand) needs to support SSE2 instructions.

I checked what CPU I have & from what I can tell it supports SSE2 - AMD A6-4400M - Features SSE (1, 2, 3, 3S, 4.1, 4.2, 4A), x86-64, AES, AVX, FMA.

So if this is the case, why doesn’t it work, or am I missing something here?
