I saw somewhere that the new browser will replace Safezone on PC’s that have it installed. It lost all of the extensions and I thought something had been fouled up, so I did an uninstall with the intent of re-installing. Of course, it’s now gone so I can’t reinstall. I can live with that, but my question is this … with Safezone now uninstalled, will my system auto-update with the new browser when it is released? If not, how will I know about it so I can manually install it?

See reply #22. Delivery date is totally up to Avast. Since it’s still in beta, it isn’t yet ready to be released.

True but not likely. I just want to see it completed and released regardless of the name that it ends up with.

The Avast Hero Browser FAQ (https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Hero-Browser-FAQ) implies that this new browser will only run on Windows 7 and later. Is that really the plan? :-\

I have to make windows clean install but i don’t want to lose avast because if i install this program again i will not get safebrowser
I have to wait until new browser be released …

You could install an old version that still contains the SafeZone browser and then update that version after the install.

I don’t know where I can find an older version …

I cant get any of the old versions to work. I tried clicking a bunch of versions from 2016 and I always get an error saying that the website tried redirecting me too many times. Is there another way to get the latest version that still came with safe zone?

Remember that before installing this old version, you’ll need to go offline and change your settings
so that the auto update doesn’t update to a new version. (Let me know.)
