I tried to load SafeZone but the browser was unresponsive. Since I had just activated it I figured I would restart my computer to see if that would help. When I did and went back it said “SafeZone cannot read or write to its data directory c:\sfzone_profile”. Any ideas? I have Avast Pro - version 10.2.2214. Thanks!
I reset the SafeZone in settings and the error went away, but the browser does nothing when I put a url in. Don’t know if this matters but have MBAM Premium running too.
Hi, EMNN, welcome to the forum
Yes, this is an old bug. MBAM Premium and SafeZone have a problem together.
This is what I posted a few days ago :

Thanks for the reply - hopefully there will be a fix for it shortly.
Well I don’t know about “shortly” as RedNose stated this is “an old Bug” :-\
I recall discussing this when I had the issue with SafeZone on xpSP3 and MBam Pro Version 2 was in Beta (close to 2 years ago) and effecting SafeZone Functioning.
If MBam Pro was uninstalled the issue with SafeZone was resolved. I never had the issue with MBam v.1.75
OK, didn’t know if it was something that just resurfaced with the new version. Looking at that thread I saw Rednose was going to make the developer aware of it so I’ll remain hopeful. So I’m assuming I can’t just de-activate MBAM - I would have to uninstall?
The Sandbox and SafeZone will be totally redesigned in R3 which is planned for ~ June.
So lets hope Avast! and/or Malwarebytes will have fixed it by than.

Interesting, thanks for the Information.
There’s no doubt SafeZone has been in need of redesign (Streamlining) for some time now.
IMO, Quite cumbersome compared to other similar security modules.
