Good for you.

Sometimes things will move along a little faster if certain details are given out in the first post, i.e., I’ve got a brand-new install of XP home or pro SP3, no other antivirus ever installed, or had this or that a/v installed but uninstalled it via Add/Remove, etc.,.

A little prior history always helps here as we cannot see your system to help you properly, but wind up guessing, and that will not speed things up but will actually slow things down. Guessing is never good. Meanwhile, your issue has yet to be resolved by you. Which is why I think you’ve been coming here for help.

Can be frustrating for you when this happens.

Ever use a registry cleaner of any sort on your system?

We’ll stop here for now, OK? Basically we need to know what you know, and any missing details or clues can be deduced only from what you post in your next reply. ;D
