Samsung Galaxy S7 Reports Avast Mobile Security is slowing down the phone, is there any fix for this issue? short of uninstalling the app, and such, I do reboot my phone about every week, cleaned off a few gaming apps, it’s relatively new phone still, so not sure what the issue is

Hi, this notification appears on the Samsung devices equipped with the ““Samsung Smart Manager””. Let me explain how it works:

The Avast Mobile Security app is designed to always run in the background (if it does not run, then no shields are be active and the viruses can freely pass through). And, if something “kills” the app, it immediately restarts itself. The “Samsung Smart Manager” is able to recognize this and thus may display that the app “slows the device down” while it “persistently runs”.

Oh ok, so doesn’t really slow down phone I take it then, as got me worried there when it was showing that on the notifications, but if it doesn’t really slow it down, excellent, and yes knows needs to run in the background to provide the protection
