samsung laptop stuck on aswRvrt.sys, unable to log into my machine.

I am unable to boot into my samsung laptop, i have tried all options, but in vain.

But I am able to boot using ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS cd.

Please help as i need all my data, personal as well as official. I am trying to restore using all the means, from google. I even tried to re-install Windows 7. the screen just shows “Setup is starting”

hey no read my post you scroll down to the part unable to boot my computer in the guide i linked and attach a frst log then a malware expert will help you from there. Malwarebytes won’t work on problems like this at this stage.

OK the first fix will reset the registry

Download the attached fixlist to the same location as FRST
Run FRST as before and press fix
On completion try a normal boot

hi essexboy, i am getting the same problem(rebooted system with CD burned and then inserted flash drive and ran FRST). just wanted to tell you, system is 64 bit.

Run FRST as before and press fix

still getting the grey screen :frowning:
tried normal boot, repair your computer, directory services restore mode, last known good configuration.
for repair your computer it is now getting stuck at CLASSPNP.sys.

Download the following three programmes to your desktop :

  1. Rufus

For 64bit systems
2… Windows 7 64bit RC… I will PM this link
3. Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64

Insert the USB stick Then run Rufus

Select the ISO file on the desktop via the ISO icon.

Press Start Burn

Then copy FRST to the same USB

Insert the USB into the sick computer and start the computer. First ensuring that the system is set to boot from USB

At the command prompt type the following :

notepad and press Enter.
The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
Select “Computer” and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
In the command window type e:\frst64.exe or e:\frst.exe dependant on system
and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
The tool will start to run.
When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.

Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

yes, got it. the laptop was a bit slow.
FRST.txt log attached.

From the command prompt on the recovery console type the following cammnd and press enter :

chkdsk c: /r

Once done try a normal boot

still facing the same problem :frowning:

I am afraid it appears to be a windows system problem so you may have to re-install
