I have an older Samsung printer. I had to change out my router and modem.
Avast is blocking the reinstallation of the printer. I get a protected network message. I tried turning off all the shields but i still get the same message.
I need help.
First let me say that I’m an Avast User and not an Avast team member. I’m also don’t have the Avast Firewall component installed
What Avast Product are you using ?
How is your Printer connected to your system, wifi or usb cable ?
I’m not entirely sure why “I had to change out my router and modem” would impact the printer if it isn’t connected to the router/modem.
I suspect that the “I get a protected network message.” you mention is related to the Firewall component and I’m not sure how that would react given you have disabled the shields.
First try setting the Firewall to Private network rather than Public and see if that helps.
