I have an USB Chinese character input application. I used it for years without problem. Yesterday I installed Avasti, the Chinese character application was blocked. I chose ‘Open the file as usual’ but I still could not use the application.
The programme is in exclusion list and I have deleted it from the exclusion list.
When I plugged in again, your antvirus ‘We did not find enough evidence to identify the file as malware’. The programme is terminated and for the next execution of this file to do the following either open it in sandbox or to open it normally.
What should I do to ensure I can use the programme properly. Thanks.
u should select it to ‘open it normally’. yes, the programme should appear in the exclusion list.
in the previous version of Avast, ‘open it normally’ added gibberish into the exclusions and this should be fixed in the current version.
try adding the programme into exclusions again. if autosandbox (the feature which is causing problems for ur case) still terminates the chinese programme automatically, please summit a general support package for Avast developers to look into the problem.
to generate the general support package, please look at the screenshot.
