SandBox in v.5.1??

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I’m wondering if SandBox will be added to v.5.1
If this was covered before Mod can provide link and delete this Thread

sandbox (aka Process Virtualization) is already present in avast 5.0 PRO/IS versions
v5.1 will bring only cosmetic changes in avast sandbox (the most improved parts are of an internal character)

Thanks PK for taking the time…of course I was meaning v.5.1 AV FREE. My appologies if you were referring to the Free version :wink:

A fully function sandbox will be present only in PRO/IS versions. Avast 6.0 should contain basic sandbox framework for scanning purposes only.

Hi. Do you mean that sandbox will be introduced in the on demand scanner or in the realtime scanner?

Avast 5.1, due next month, will not really have any meaningful differences besides improved malware removal/cleaning (I mean, it will have quite a few new features - such the 64-bit boot time scan and new stuff in the Behavior Shield - but none of these features are that related to the topic of this thread). V5.1’s main feature is the central administration (i.e. a feature not really interesting to end users) - and it will also be marketed this way (as a corporate product, essentially).
Only 4 more days to go and no beta nor other news.
