I had been thinking about trying the sandbox component that was introduced in the last version (see screenshot), but now it has disappeared.
It seems to me that Avast Free is getting more and more a sort of beta testing platform, for trying out new things and making them disappear again (or only available to Premium). This would explain the “once a month” updates.
And also, it would explain why the traduction in the components section is still wrong, you can see “uninstall” there instead of install, so you are seduced to click on things you don’t really want.
Avast will never use Avast Free ( or Paid ) users for Beta testing withought their approval.
You have to download - and install a Beta yourself first, to become a Beta tester.
The availability of the Sandbox and other paid functions in Avast Free was a bug, that should have been fixed.
That said, your screenshot is strange : It looks like kind of the same bug, but the other way around.
Could you try a repeair of Avast to see if that helps ?
That’s what I meant with “beta testing” - the updates every month will bring up a lot of new bugs and will not leave enough time for the genuine beta testers to find bugs, so in the end every user will be a bit like a beta tester…
The problem with the traduction is that users will click on it and actually install the features they don’t want
deinstallieren = uninstall

Thank you, but I don’t need to repair because this is the actual status of my components:
I think the release of a new version 12.3.2280 just a few days after the monthly update 12.3.2279, which actually was buggy, is a bit of a proof that I’m right thinking that all users are little bit like “beta testers”…
But the monthly cycle of the stable version has now been a 3-day-cycle, it feels like beeing in the beta channel, even if it is now officially a stable version (which 2279 was also 3 days ago).
More testing (i. e. for longer than 1 month) in the real beta channel would be better, that’s what I wanted to say. Just my opinion.
