Sandbox possibly fails to work?

Hey Guys,
A long time ago I had some infected screensaver on my lappy. Avast! had a popup that recommended me to open it in the sandbox so I did. But however, I didn’t get any notification that I was in the sandbox. is this normal or is there a problem?

The notification is only shown when autosandbox is set to ”Auto”, not your case, but the application was still sandboxed, as you choose to sandboxe it.
