I started an app and web browser in the sandbox this morning with out realising and downlaoded several files. Now of couse as I was in the sandbox it did not put them on my drive in the requested place.
What has happened to them? Were they really downloaded? Are they in a temp file somewhere? Will the temp file get flushed occasionally or will it just expand until i clear it?
Yes, there is a problem (bug) on the sandbox and downloads.
It was acknowledged but not solved.
pk is the man behind the sandbox.
Tech, I have send you a pm.
Greetz, Red.
I didn’t receive any pm ![]()
yes, Tech had the same problem – lakeywhite, what’s your web browser and OS? Thanks.
No, you will get an email from me in a few days ![]()

My OS is Windows 7 and the browser I was using was Chrome Portable, also I used 7-Zip in the sandbox and that unzipped files to the ether too. I should habe realised that anything I did in the sandbox wouldn’t get anywhere, but I thought if I actually chose it to be saved it would be and that sandbox would stop any unwanted automated file changes or saves.
lakeywhite, seems we need to wait for new avast program update… Soon… You’ll be surprised.

Yes, when you run an application in the sandbox, all created/modified files/registry will be automatically deleted when this application terminates itself. Some applications (like unpackers/download managers/…) aren’t suitable for sandboxing - unless you define exclusions in GUI (e.g. download/working folder).
