I am a brand-new avast/iyogi customer and just noticed “Always run in Sandbox” in one of my drop-down menus. I left it alone, but: what is the Sandbox and why & when should I use it?
Check out the avast Help Center link in the avastUI, Real-Time Shields, Process Virtualisation (Sandbox), Basic settings and Expert Settings for a full description and functions. Basically it allows for an application to be run in a safe area (Sandbox, virtualised) isolated from the real system.
