a few things, first of all I have win XP and avast free home edition 6.01. Cant figure out how to run something in sandbox or how to add it to my right click options. Read the help and it says how to do it but cant find context menu or run a virtualized process
On demand sandboxing is only in the paid Avast! versions. The free version has only the automatic sandboxing when the system recognizes a file as suspicious.
Ah that makes sense now, TY. one other question. If I have enable autosandbox mode:ASK, then if something suspicious comes up it asks me and then runs it in sandbox? Do u recommend auto instead ask?
I run “ask” to have control over the process-there is not really that much traffic. “Ask” will give the options of “run sandboxed”, “run normal” or “don’t run” so you can decide based on your knowledge of the file.
