So I finally signed up to the SAS Forums and was just about to make my inquiry when I see over on the upper right of the page that — “You cannot start a new topic.” What the … ??? I cannot start a new topic? I am logged in. So what the heck is going on? How the heck am I supposed to make my inquiry?
Is there not a F.A.Q. on the SAS forum ?
Have you tried a search in the forum for that message “You cannot start a new topic.”
Though you say you are logged in, most forums usually have a confirmation email with a link to confirm that is your email address given in the registration.
Excellent call, David. That’s what it turned out to be … that confirmation E-mail thing.
Now that I think about it, I think I WAS informed at the time of joining that I’d be sent a confirmation E-mail. What then threw things off though is that I actually joined the SAS forums since the other day when I mentioned on here that I would. However, my main E-mail Address, the one that I used to join the SAS forums happened to be down for about 4 days. So, I wasn’t able to immediately embark on my mission of officially opening my SAS forums account and making my debut inquiry there. By the time my E-mail was back up and in business, I obviously forgot about that confirmation E-mail waiting in the wings.
Either way, everything’s good to go now. I’ve made my inquiry over there.

You’re welcome, many forums (avast also) the registration doesn’t become live (to post, etc.) until a confirmation email has been received and acknowledged.
