Saturday 14th-669, INFECTED?

Hi,
I did a demand scan with avast pro and here is what I got:
Process 1500, memory block 0x00D46000, block size 159744
Infection: Saturday 14th-669
Is there reason to be afraid or this is…

I don’t think so.
Sounds more like a false alarm - I don’t know how a trace of an old DOS virus might get into your Windows memory.

Thanks Igor!
If you have the time, I’m interested in one more thing:
Setting up Avast response on virus detection, when I want to set repair, I’m not quite sure about the explanation regarding macro viruses.
Is it safe (for the document) to put remove all macros?

Well, safe… if there were any original (uninfected) macros in the document, they would be removed as well - which may not be what you really want. I mean, they may be missing from the document later. I’m not sure how likely it is (the number of macroviruses is low today anyway), but I wouldn’t use the setting personally.

Me either…
AntiVir has this feature too, full remove, as depending on the Heuristic level, it will delete all macros of *.dot (Word Templates) files and the Excel templates as well.

O.K.
Thank you very much!
I’m one of those who like to be thorough (meaning that if there is any extra button for detection to check, I will press it, on the cost of scan to last for ages!). But even I have the common sense :stuck_out_tongue:
Again, thanks, this was helpful!
