Do any of the files in Doc and Settings\Application Data save settings, in case I need to reinstall or set it up on my other computer?
I’m not sure how successful saving and applying settings on another PC might be, especially if it happens to be another OS. The .ini files are typically where settings are saved, but not all settings might be there.
I would say you would have better success using the avast function - avastUI > Settings > General > scroll down to the Settings Backup.
All my comps have the same system. But where would I place that file in my other computer? There’s no file of that name to replace.
Would you save all 6 .ini files?
I wouldn’t save any of the .ini files, unless you have made specific changes to the .ini file.
Play with or browse the UI in depth, as in the Backup, you can give the location to store it. When using the Restore settings, you navigate to where you stored/saved the backup file.
So on the other system/s you can copy the saved settings onto a USB and transfer to the system.
