says scanned 31 GB but my used space is 68 GB

hi, i select my c drive (local drive) for scanning and after its finished it says its scanned 31 GB, but my used space in c drive is 68 GB, I have chosen the thorough scan including scanning archive files, any help on this would be great! thank you

Anything is defined into the Exclusion list of avast?

Also, is the used space really in ordinary folders? (maybe System Volume Information takes a lot?)

hi, just to carry on from my last post, when i select all my folders in c drive, they total 26 GB, so this must be the size of just my ordinary folders

if avast has scanned 31 GB then this must be correct, even though my used space is 68 GB

is what i’m saying correct, thanks again for your help!!!
