scan / block outgoing SMSs - suggestion and advice

I am using Avast Mobile Security (v2.0.3587) on my Android.
The software can scan incoming SMSs and offer me to block the sender if it is not in my contact list. This is under “Shield Control > Message Shield”.

I would equally need to be offered to block SMSs to unknown destinations.
This is to block applications to send SMSs to numbers that I do not control avoiding SMSs to expensive destinations.

This does not exist in Avast today. I am writing here in the hope a Avast developer picks the idea and also to search ideas how to achieve this?

There is some discussion about this, and the developers decided to remove this function due to some issues when AMS is not responding.

Hi,

unlike calls, there is no way of intercepting outgoing SMS messages in Android, the mechanism just isn’t built in the system so it’s definitely not possible on non-rooted devices, sorry.
