The scan on screensaver want try to analyse the partition hidden creating by bitlocker, after my system partition.
I have got an error on analyse “secteur d’amorçage du disque \?\volume{xxxxxx-xxxx…} erreur: le périphérique n’est pas prêt(21)”.
I found that the volume correspond at the partition who was created by bitlocker when I encrypted my disk, it placed and hidden just after my system partition, it s the system partition of 250Mb, who was used by bitlocker for system.
And each times when the screensaver appear, the scan restart, although I put scan loop and check after 3 days between 2 analyses.
Maybe if I uncheck scan in loop, in the screensaver parameter, it’s will not restart. Nevertheless I think it scan already all my C: files before to try to scan this partition.
avast nor any other anti-malware software can scan encrypted drives/folders/files if it doesn’t know the encryption method/password.
Curious, why are you using bitlocker anyway?
Besides applications, do you have $millions worth of data on that drive or something?
The scan work on all encrypted partition, this one is normally not encrypted, it s a system partition who are here for start windows if you haven’t the key.
I used bitlocker, they tell, it’s for protected your files and system, first I wanted to see, and I have some pics, and administration files, I have all my life inside, all this I don’t want it fall in bad hands.
I have just to take it off my TPM or you can just use a USB, and like this if your pc is stolen, nobody can read your hard disk. It’s better than the user password.
