Scan Results: Worried about number of "Hidden" files after Rootkit scan

According to the log you also have CIS installed, does that include the antivirus component ?

I installed Comodo Cleaning essentials through Comodo Firewall, I don’t have CIS installed on my system.

Ah OK, still trying to figure out why the files are hidden as they shouldn’t be. Is the computer behaving normally ?

Yes everything is running great…no crashes or freezups or anything like that at all. Thats why I found it kind of weird when I seen all of those hidden files. By the way this has happened before a while ago where Avast Found a couple of threats but I Thought they were FP…uninstalling and reinstalling cured this problem. I’ve scanned with unhackme as well warrior disc included all scans were clean.

This was about a week ago however…

I’ve found false positives with many anti-viruses before I know Avast does of course run into them as well… I remember posting on Geeks to Go with a problem, I was using Kaspersky Pure trial and it kept finding this richvideo from cyberlink which I seen in one of the results here today. We eventually dismissed this as a FP.

Ah well at least you now know you are clean

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

]A message should appear confirming that ComboFix was uninstalled

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.

Clear Restore Points

Go Start > All Programmes > Accessories > System tools
Right click Disc Cleanup and select run as administrator
When it pops up at the first prompt select OK after it has done some calculations the tabs will appear
