Hello,
I’m trying out Avast 4.8 Pro,and when i do a scan,and there is something detected,the scan stops,untill i take action.
Is this normal or can i change my settings so that i can take action after the scan has finished.
Or is this only because it’s a trial

you can change this settings 
open the enhanced user interface → create a new scan (or edit one which already exists) → tick the advanced settings-check → in the section “Virus” you can set what should happen if a virus is found…
Probably the Manual can help you…
Page 58 shows the “Virus” settings - the previous pages help you to create/edit a task in general…

I think you mean the quick scanner. Unselect the box if it is selected.

If you wanna take action after scanning, then you should launch the scanner from the main interface of avast. When the first virus is found, press “Continue” and select “Don’t show this dialog next time”. Then you can take the actions you want. The quick scanner doesn’t give choices to select an action after the scan has finished.
Edit: Ahh, I’ve stated for the home version, sorry. There are more chances to customize the settings in pro version as onlysomeone stated.

In the home version, yes. But in pro version you have lots of options in scan tasks. So apply the ones onlysomeone stated.
