ScanErrors during file copy to another computer on my home network

Hello All,
This is my first post to this forum. I have searched the forum but did not find anything that seemed
applicable. When I copy a file to another computer on my network I get logged errors (a small sample) I was copying my favorites folder to my other computer. It doesn’t matter what type of file.
Any suggestions?

Paul

Well windows 00000005 error is Access is denied. So there appears to be a permissions issue, what that might be I don’t know as I don’t have a network.

Are they all related to the favicon ?
Basically avast can’t scan it but does the file get copied in any case, probably yes I would guess.
What is your OS ?

Besides the OS question, is the “favicon” thing an alternate NTFS stream?

I’m using Vista Home Premium. The favicon thing just happened to be two examples I radomly chose. It happens to any file I try to transfer. Here are two more examples to another computer on my network.
Thanks
Paul

Additional comments: The files all copy to the other computer okay just slower with the errors. I put avast on another computer running Vista and the same results occur.

Well, all the examples you posted are actually NTFS alternate data streams (you can tell by the colon character inside the path - in the later post, it’s before the “Zone.Identifier”)

So, is it true for all the records you can see in the log?

Yes they all contain the colon.

An update. 07/22/2007 When I copy files from an XP system, this error does not occur. Only from a Vista system.

Any other suggestions?

I’m surprized that no one has seen this before. Anybody with any suggestions? As a work around, I just pause the Standard shield.

It appears that this problem has been solved in the latest builld of Avast, 4.7.1029 Aug 2007.
Thank you.
