scanner doesnt detect trojan but i have one.

i got the warning of the trojan virus when i downloaded gimp program. it is sending out emails but the avast scanner is not detecting it. what can i do? I have windows 7.

What gave you the warning of the trojan ?

How do you know it is sending out emails ?
Try setting the Mail Shied on Sensitivity = High as that should detect multiple emails being sent out if you have a hidden/undetected spambot on your system.

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it and report the findings (it should product a log file).
MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (MBAM), On-Demand only in free version http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe, right click on the link and select Save As or Save File (As depending on your browser), save it to a location where you can find it easily later.

Where did you download gimp from? 8)

Orginal website for gimp: http://www.gimp.org/

Thanks guys. I have set the mail shield to high sensitivity maybe that will help. I know I am sending out emails because I am getting the “failure to send” send message multiple times from lots of random people in my contact list. And I request from a person to remove them from my contact list.

Tried the anti malware that was suggested but no malicious files were found.

I downloaded from gimp.org but thanks for the info.

follow the guide here and attach the OTL log and aswMBR log
