??? I am pretty new to Avast! When I place the cursor on the Avast blue ball, it states Avast! On-Access Scanner: 7 provider(s) total, 6 running. Do I not have something turned on? I have ZoneAlarm firewall and Spysweeper for spyware and am running Windows XP on a cable connection. Also, when I have run the virus scan it has picked up NOTHING, is this normal?

The fact that there are seven providers doesnt mean that all should be running.
If for instance you have outlook express disabled (as is the case on my network) then the provider for that service will not be enabled.
This is the most likely explanation.
If you want to check which is disabled, click on the A ball and see which providers are in bold(active).
The fact that you have a firewall and a spyware program installed suggests you are well prepared against infection and the clean status should be no surprise.
