Scanning errors since upgrade!

I just downloaded the latest update to the home edition and upon re-boot I was greeted with error messages stating that inbound, outbound emails and news would not be able to be scanned! Any one else had this error, any idea what’s going on with it?

We will need more information to be able to help you:

  1. Which OS are you using? Is it up to date?
  2. Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  3. Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system?
  4. Any other security programs that could interfere?
  5. Do you use any spam killer application? Which one?

Should note that I know emails were scannned prior to the upgrade I made tonight, I can’t seem to find any settings that could need attention. Quite annoying, everything has been running so well till this :frowning:

Delete the entry for C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe (avast! e-Mail Scanner Service) into Comodo application settings.
Try do download emails again and allow ashMaiSv.exe to connect.

Don’t see any entry relating to what you suggest in comodo :-[

Right click the Comodo icon, open it, click on Security button, then on Application Monitor.

Thanks Tech, this is working now and may have been despite the error messages I got. What made me think it wasn’t was because the default had been changed for the text to be added to clean outbound messages!
