Yes, there should be similar information for incoming mail. Unfortunately you have to do some manual configuration to get it working with the spam filter.

  1. assign new port to avast (e.g. 111): insert the line
    PopListen=127.0.0.1:111
    to file ALWIL Software\Avast4\Data\avast4.ini into section [MailScanner]

  2. Set this port to Eudora: insert the line
    PopPort=111
    to file Qualcomm\Eudora\eudora.ini into section [Settings] (or [Persona-…] if you use personalities)

  3. Restart Eudora and set the the login name like this:
    NAME/POPSERVER#127.0.0.1:PORT
    (PORT is the port number where the spam filter listens)
