Scanning Question

I have a cable modem, constantly connected. What I’m wondering is, is it wiser to disconnect before scanning or does it not really matter? Any feedback appreciated

If you are infected with downloader type viruses, it would be better if you do unplug it first until all traces of the infection is gone.

Under normal circumstances, leave it connected.

We’re talking about a decent setup, I guess…
Therefor a proper firewall would/should be present.
No firewall present? Please disconnect (any connections) asap…!!

Why ???

It would be downloading some “friends” while traces are left, thus, regenerating.
