well,
you can use the wizard for your first account, and configure manually the second by :
- setting your incoming and outgoing mail servers to 127.0.0.1
- set your username for the pop server to your_username#your_pop_server
- set your username for the smtp server to your_username#your_smtp_server if you use smtp authentification and #your_smtp_server if you don’t use smtp authentification

avast can protect multiple pop3 email accounts, depending on the email program used this can be setup either using the Mail Protection Wizard or Manually.
What email program are you using?
Did you run the Mail Protection Wizard?
Was you email program closed when you ran it?
visit the User’s FAQ thread, (Mail Protection Wizard) it will give you a lot of useful advice.
Read the avast help file, Setting up the mail Protection.

Yups, Avast can do protection and setting Pop Mail Client Automatically… Like Outlook or Mozilla… But if you’re using The BAT, you can place plug-ins. (BAV)
avast! works with multiple smtp/pop servers and can protect as many pop3/smtp server accounts as you want:
- Configure your email accounts to work without the antivirus and test them.
- If everything is fine, close all your email clients (programs).
- Start Menu > All programs > avast antivirus > Mail Protection Wizard
- Follow the non Outlook/Exchange option (i.e., the second one).
You can choose the supported email programs and select all the accounts
(even the ones created in the future).
- Configure your email accounts to use avast! as antivirus.
Note: the pop/smtp default servers are just the ‘default’ ones. They would be used to send files to Alwil Software (for virus analysis, for instance) and in special email accounts configurated to use ‘default’ servers.
Hope this helps.
