When I tried running a full scan yesterday Avast reported scanning 0 files. It appeared to be functioning, so I attempted this several times before I gave up. I’ve made no changes since my last scan, except maybe adding Malwarebytes. Avast is set to auto update & everything is up to date.

ensure that you dont have a malware in your pc by donloading dr.web cure it and scan your pc,
then repair avast installition then if not working"dont give up"uninstall it then reinstall a fresh copy of it.
may be the avast database has been deleted and or some componnents are missing.
