Schedule a full disc scan

Hi

I am a new convert to Avast and have the Home Edition 4.7.

I expect this is a stupid question, but…

How do I schedule the full disc scan, one is happening right now which very inconvenient. I would rather set my own time for the full scan but can’t find out how to do this.

Any help with be much appreciated

You can’t schedule in Home version. Only in Professional.

I assume you are talking about the boot-time scan that occurs after installation when your reboot and before windows starts ?

If so then this is a one time operation and won’t happen on your next boot, but you can schedule it it required.
If you have XP or Win2k, you could enable a boot time scan. Right click the avast icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, Menu, ‘Schedule boot-time scan…’ Or see http://www.digitalred.com/avast-boot-time.php
