I have Win7 and can schedule a reboot at 1am
How do I setup Avast to scan when this reboot occurs at 1am every morning
thanks,
Robert

That’s not possible. The boot-time scan is meant mainly for cases when you are already infected, it’s not supposed to be started at every reboot (it’s very inconvenient, and most likely unnecessary).

The boot-time scanner is an expert feature, and was designed to be used when there’s something bad going on on the system.

I forgot to ask, if a boot scan is setup to scan for possible infected files and if No Action is selected, will there be a report generated?
A friend claims to have the FBI virus and I recommended to put Avast on the notebook.
