Scheduled antivirus scan is not following schedule (possible bug?)

Lately, I’ve noticed that my scheduled scan is not occurring at the time it’s scheduled for, but seems to happen at random. I tried removing the scheduled scan, then creating a new one, but it follows the schedule for the first day, then goes back to random.

Hi, is the date and time on your device correct?
What is the “Scan type” and “Scan priority”?

It’s set to run a full scan daily at 10AM, and the priority is medium. (I did not change the priority when I created it originally, and it’s only recently started doing this.)
When I went to look this information up, though, it appeared that the whole setting was cleared, and it was set to not run at all.

Hi,

Please try to repair your Avast installation. Please follow the instructions as outlined here https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Repair-Antivirus
You’ll need to reboot your PC after repairing.
If it does not help then try to re-install.

Both a repair and reinstall only temporarily resolved the problem (It runs at the scheduled time the first time, then apparently chooses a random time to run).

This problem continues to persist, and not being able to predict when the antivirus is going to run is making me reconsider continuing to use Avast.

Hi,

Which version do you currently have installed?
Could you also provide some logs, please?

Please post your support file id here.

I think the file id is F30BS. The version is 20.9.2437 (build 20.9.5758.615), but it started several versions ago.

Hi, please install the new beta

No change, it continues the same behavior.
