hi, wonderful product from a norton convert one minor bug though when i setup to scan in screen saver mode occasionaly when it comes out of screen saver mode my pc goes to the shut down screen. any ideas anyone
What operating system do you use?
Does the problem occur with one screensaver only, or did you try more different screensavers and it happened with all of them?
using xp pro sp2 and only happens on the avast screensaver
I think Igor is refering to the screen saver that runs [i]into[/b] avast screen saver.
I mean, avast has a module that runs your screensaver while scans.
Which one do you set into avast settings?
i am not sure i just set my screen saver up to the avast antivirus screen saver. it then runs starfield whilst scanning

I also use the starfield screensaver and without any problems. So, it must be something else.
Are you sure Norton was completely uninstalled? Norton/Symantec products are infamous for not completely uninstalling files/registry entries which will, in some way, foul any other av program. See this post by DavidR for a link to a removal tool …
