Script and Behavior Shield not working at all

Events analyzed always 0
Script scanned always 0
What’s wrong with it?

avast IS8.0
Windows7 X64
IE9.0 and chrome21

First off try a repair via the Programs and Features ( click to uninstall then repair ) if that fails to fix your issue then I suggest doing a clean install.

Also note that you should update your IE browser to IE10 for security reasons.

Thanks for your advice.
I have removed my avast!with avastclear.exe and installed again, but it’s still not working(I mean the Behavior and script shield).
IE10 always stops working(or crashes) when I open it,so I have no choice but to use IE9.0.
There’s no problem when I use avast!7.0.

Forgive me for my poor English.

It would seem your system may have some deeper problems that need to be looked into as there should be no reason for IE 10 to keep crashing on you and these problems could be the reasons why the Behaviour and Script shields aren’t functioning as well, please run the first four tools from here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 and attach the logs ( not copy paste ) to your next post in this thread for one of the malware team to look over to see if there is some issue on that system.

the last progaram(aswMBR.exe)always close itself when it’s running,I’ve tried 4times but it’s all the same result.
adw,MBAM and OTL‘s logs are here

I’ve notified essexboy to have a look at your logs, please be patient as he might not be on the forum for a few hours yet.

Hi nothing readily apparent showing there. With regards to IE10 could you install it and then run without any addons

  1. Click on Start
  2. Click on All Programs
  3. Click on Accessories
  4. Click on System Tools
  5. Under System tools you will get an Internet explorer (No Add-ons)

I’ve tried in this way, still not work.
I guess it’s because my NVIDIA’s driver,I’ve updated the latest NVIDIA driver provided by Lenovo, then I can open IE10 but it still crash when I search the Internet, although IE10 will work when I choose to use Intel graphics, but not stable.

Chrome is the same.It will close itself when I open it,but it will work very well when I cancel what I circled in the picture.(sorry,I don’t know how to discrib that in English)

OK next we will check the system files

Open an elevated command prompt

Go Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
In the black box that opens type the following command :

sfc /scannow

Once it has completed then reboot and try IE again

also have tried before…
I used iexplore.exe -extoff and sfc /scannow on Aug. 19.

What you could do with the Nvidia driver is uninstall it, reboot and then let windows install the generic driver which is certified for windows 7
