I’ve just installed Avast 4.7 Professional. The Help suggests that the Script Blocker splash screen can be turned off, but doesn’t say how to do it. I’ve gone through all the Program Settings and can’t find the option. Where is it?
Right click avast! “ball” > On-Access Protection Control > Script Blocking > Customize > Advanced > untick “Show splash window on startup”
Welcome to the forums!
hi what does script blocking do?? does it use more cpu??? can i turn it of Tx
It is only available with the Pro version are you an avast pro user ?
I suggest a browse of the avast! Help file, Resident Protection, Script Blocking provider.
I doubt you would notice much of an impact on CPU usage.
It scans the scripts used by webpages and other applications.
It does not use many resources, in fact, your browsing speed won’t be affected in a noticiable way.
Why would you want to turn it off?
