Scripting On-Access Protection Control Settings

Hello:

I have a small home network and I like to manage my machines via AD policies. What I’m looking for is a way to script or otherwise remotely control the settings of the PC’s on which Avast is installed (my Wife never pays attention to any security settings and I can’t always be looking over her shoulder to keep this in check).

I’ve read the avast4.ini thread, but that seems to fall short of what I’m searching for.

Any registry, other *.ini, or similar avenues that can be tweaked to achieve this?

TIA

I’m afraid avast! settings are not that easily accessible (some of them are stored e.g. in MDB database). For network environment, there is a special version of the clients and the corresponding manager (ADNM) that achieves exactly what you wish, but it’s I’m afraid it’s not really for a small home network.

How about setting the On-Access Protection as you wish and then protect it with a password (so that it cannot be changed/disabled)?

And do not tell the wife the password!
