Could someone please direct me in the right direction to down load security patches for trojan and everyother or any virus that I may need patches for on my dellcomputer running windowsXP

Hmm, a Dell system? Start with removing the by Dell installed windows version. Than install a full version (legitimate) of windows and install ALL security patches/updates from the MS update site. Buy a router with build in hardware firewall and use that. Install a up-to-date av application. But most of all, before doing this, make sure you know how to handle a system!
