Hi guys,

I have install the secondary mirror server and i have the error message:

setup couldn’t load library c:\program files\alwil software\avast 4\mirror\setiface.dll
Error code: 0x0000007E

I using the demo version, and the latest ADMN already.
Please help asap.

Strange, and does the DLL exist?
Could you please also try going to Control panel → Add/Remove Programs → avast! managed → Change/Remove → Repair.

Is avast (antivirus) also installed on the machine? Or just the mirror? Has it been installed separately, or at once?

Yes, the avast antivirus also installed.

now i try to install separately, and no problem with sertiface.sll, but the mirroring run to internet not to my AMS.
can i change the mirror to my AMS?

so can i protect my secondary AMS using avast antivirus?

  1. It should be possible to push the antivirus installation on top of the existing mirror installation.
  2. Does the agent on the machine communicate with the management server? If so, it should grab the settings from the computer group’s properties (as usual). And the computer group properties define where to update the mirror from.

its because of my mirroring? here is end of mirroring log message i have.

When you run mirror.exe manually, it can perform additional task - upload to your custom http server. We haven’t implemented this function yet, so it’s skipped.
Updates distribution is built in mirror/distrib folder, which is also root of mirror’s http server. Since it was successful, network clients should download updates from your mirror server.

If you want some customization to secondary mirror, let me know on email about your network setup (if only primary mirror is connected to internet and secondary mirror is on intranet, if you use some proxy server or ISA server, or firewall).

I’m completing instructions document about configuring secondary mirror on intranet networks not connected to internet. I’ll post it here later…
