Does anybody knows what is the Section [ODBC] into avast4.ini file and the value CompactNeeded set to 0 as default?

No secrets, really. It’s just that every program needs some methods of communication between its components. Writing something to the INI file is one of the methods.
It makes absolutel no sense to manually look at / change. They are reserved for avast internal use. Just as about a thousand of other things.

This is the first and only one that I know.
Others were unpublished until now. My thread about avast4.ini file is a colletion of my ‘browsing’ here. There is not a reference guide for it. :-\
