My browser is rather slow. Avast interface says: “Secure DNS cannot operate in this network”. I come across some old chat that says this may mean PC is infected with rootkit. I am not too experienced user. could you pls. advice how I fould fix this problem.
download and scan as instructed with the requested programs, and attach the logs they produce
Instructions https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Attach Malwarebytes + Farbar Recovery Scan Tool + aswMBR … 4 logs total
See below the box you write in … Attachments and other options
when done a malware expert will assist you
Both Avast Antirootkit and ASWMBR crash while systen scanned with ASWMBR
If you have problems with one program, move to next
We need those logs before we can help
Hi,
Here I attach aswMBR log, FRST and FRST addition logs
I see no logs attached!
Sorry, I was too quick to send
Just to add, MBAM has found no issues
Let me know if this makes a difference

Are there any problems still
Thanks for your support!
Right now I see no obvious problems. PC seems to be fast.
However AVAST still says Secure DNS cannot operate in this network.
Are you using the latest beta ?
Does it look like this
I have the same, but as you can see I have not updated to the Beta yet.
Greetz, Red.
I wonder if Avast is having problems with secure DNS
I use AVAST IS 2015

It seems so, I’ve read several reports of this issue on the forum lately.
Hi Bob, SecureLIne and Secure DNS are two different things.
Sorry, I don’t have secure DNS since I’m using the free version. :-[
