If the 4-6 digit password is designed to protect against unauthorized access to Mobile Security, don’t you think it’s paradoxical that the password needs to be transmitted via SMS every time a remote command is issued? I mean… If the thief is aware of Avast’s presence, what’s to stop him from reading the password from the SMS, opening Mobile Security and disabling Anti-Theft altogether??
I’ve used my secondary SIM+phone to send out a couple of test commands (CALL, GET LOG, LOCATE) to my primary phone - and I can see all the SMS messages quite clearly.
P.S.
I see the same SMS commands through the (stock) Messaging application. I thought they would be invisible to other SMS apps? Is this a side effect of GoSMS presence? Will it go away once it’s uninstalled?
