SecureLine icon appears after boot

Hi, every time I boot my computer and log in the icon circled in red (attachment below) appears in the taskbar for about a minute or two, and then goes away till next time I boot and log in at which time it appears again for a minute or two and so on.
When I double click it Avast SecureLine VPN opens. Now I’m not worried about this (at least I hope I shouldn’t be) but I just think it’s strange since SecureLine isn’t enabled on my computer as I have the free version of Avast.

Does this happen to anyone else, and does anyone know why this would happen?

Thank you!

Turn it off in tools if you did not uncheck it during Avast installation.

Maybe you have activated the trial period ?

As I indicated above, SecureLine is and always was disconnected since I have the free version.
See attachment for an illustration.

No, it is not. You only have not activated the license or use the trial period. You either uncheck it while installing Avast or go to that same page in tools and turn it off if you do not want to see the little light bulb at boot.

As far as I can see from your screenshot you : Have a SecureLine licence, OR have activated the trial period

You might be right. I turned it on in tools and the same windows interface shows the opcion to insert the license, and his does not, so he might have tried it before ( Connect it ); However, If he turns it off in Tools, He won’t have the icon when booting or the opcion for SecureLine.

Thank you all!
You were right, I slid it now to off.

You are welcome.
