SecureLine not longer useable

Hello!

SecureLine for IOS is now apparently definitively no longer usable.
After today’s update to iOS 7.0.3 no VPN Server is found.

Even a new installation of Secure Line has brought nothing.
Repeated uninstall followed by a reinstall did nothing.
SecureLine no longer possible to activate - see Appendix.

Find it sad that a company like Avast is not able to sell a working product.

For many years I am Avast customer.
Avast Antivirus Pro 4.0 was my first satisfactory working virus scanner.
At that time there was also right support.
Today i use Avast Internet Security on 4 PC`s and its ok.
Many friends and acquaintances I have recommended Avast in recent years.
Even partially installed on their computers , often also a paid version .
No matter …

Where is the support for IOS SecureLine, where?
Even this sub-forum is dead, absolutely dead !

My license will expire after 200 days, and now I want to enjoy my money back.

I will not complain , but I think it’s also to get my right as a paying customer for my money nothing in return.
Or is it?

Except someone with idea can give information about it to me that SecureLine his paid job perceives in a reasonable time,
namely to protect my iPhone.

Thank you for reading this.

Tevion

I agree with Tevion’s above.

Send me my refund of what is left in my yearly Account.

What a miserable example of Customer Relations

Yes, I agree with you guys.

Although the VPN connection is working ( for me ) :

  • The “Connect On Demand” setting doesn’t work with iOS 7.0.3

  • The Prague VPN server seems to be down.

Support should be better. I will see what I can find out.

Greetz, Red.

Hello,

how is it possible that there are other companies in which the VPN service
also works on iOS 7.0.3 permanently ??
And above all free without in-app purchase necessary as eg http://www.onavo.com/apps/iphone_protect

Anyone that is interested may like to read about the topic.
I myself encountered it by chance.
A bad connotation gets the thing in my opinion the fact that this company has been bought out recently by Facebook.

I hope that this note does not violates any forum rules.

I think because there is nothing more to say.

A very mocking customer.

Tevion

Personally I wouldn’t trust Ovano because it is an Israelian company. So most likely the Mossad is looking over their/your shoulder.

Greetz, Red.

Who is not looking over my/our shoulder?
George Orwell’s 1984 is possible has long been a reality …
No one can be sure today what happened to his data on the internet.
But this is a principled discussion and everyone needs to know how many and in particular what data he reveals himself on the internet.

Hi,

According to information provided by Miroslav Jensik they are working on a new version which will work with IOS 7.

Here the email:

quote:

"Hello,

Yes, you have to turn VPN on manualy on iOS 7, each time.
The re/connect function is not working on iOS 7, unfortunately.
Quit avast! SecureLine app - Open “Settings” - swtich “VPN” to ON
We are working on the new version, it should be released soon.

If you cannot connect to a server you can try to connect to another one just open avast! SecureLine - Secure Network - click “Location” on the right side and choose another server ( default is “Automatically”).

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Technical Support Engineer
AVAST Software a.s."

quote end

Well, I’m a patient buyer and hope that the new version coming soon,
because my subscription runs currently unused.
Manually enable the VPN server only works sometimes, and the server exchange is most time not successful - server unrespondable.

Yes and you can get a refund according to information support via the Apple Store only.
Fantastic customer service or not ?

Tevion

How `s looks at least manual activation will work again, fingers cross.
Let’s see how long it takes until there is a version compatible with IOS 7.
I’m soooo patiently …

Greetings
Tevion

Happy too early, since four days even a manual activation does not work.

As you can see the sparse posts to secure line for pc `s, occur there similar problems.

In conclusion I can hold the company avast sold an immature product,
and the customer is possible stand in the rain.

My one year license runs out in 160 days, the elapsed days I was able to run the app until the introduction of IOS7 in September 2013.

Since that time the app no longer works as has been promised it should work.

A rescission of the purchase is passed on to the customer, as it argues, this is possible only via the Apple Appstore.

So fingers away from this product, except someone has € 27.00 to give away or or is willing to spend so much money for a beautiful design of the app.

And the important thing is NOBODY gives you support, no time line is given for a proper working produkt.
