Secureline selecteert niet de gevraagde server

Ik heb inmiddels antwoord ( in het Engels ) :

Regarding the issue with the server in Amsterdam, I think it's related with an issue that we were discussing with the team this week. And I connect to the server in Amsterdam and can see that same issue.
In fact you’re connected to the server in Amsterdam, but what happens is that the IP that’s assigned to your connection was not updated in the IP database that some services use. So they may report a wrong location.

Unfortunately, we can only report this issue to the providers of these databases so they can update their IP tables to the correct locations - which may take some time.

Just for the test, please check your assigned IP address using this website:
https://www.iplocation.net/
You’ll see some services report Prague, while others report Amsterdam as the IP location.
Now, let’s say you use Netflix (or some other service) - and they use one of these providers with the wrong IP location, then you may have a problem trying to access some content.

Anyways, I’m forwarding this issue so the infrastructure team can escalate it to these providers.

En vandaag volgde de bevestiging, en dat het hopelijk snel opgelost wordt :

I just want to say again that’s a problem with the databases of some of these GeoIP location services that have not been updated.
If you don’t have a problem accessing geo blocked content, you can continue normally using it, as you’re actually connected to the Amsterdam server, not Prague.

Die geo restricties voor Nederland blijven bestaan ondanks ik de server voor Amsterdam selecteer
Dit kan toch niet zo complex zijn vermits ik toch 2 maanden heb kunnen werken zonder problemen.
Er moet toch iets veranderd zijn sinds 31 juli

Het is misschien geen complex probleem, maar wel een probleem dat niet bij Avast ligt.
Sommige ( niet alle ) GeoIP locatie services geven de verkeerde locatie van de server aan.
Je kan dat zelf checken :

https://www.iplocation.net/

Sommige GeoIP locatie services geven de goede server lokatie Amsterdam aan, andere de verkeerde Praag.
Maakt een dienst als bv Netflix gebruik van een GeoIP locatie service die de verkeerde server locatie aangeeft, dan ben je dus de sjaak.
Avast kan niets anders doen dan kontakt met deze GeoIP locatie services opnemen, en hun vragen de fout te herstellen.

Hallo Rednose

Als het dan zo is dat Avast contact moet opnemen met de GeoIP locatie services,dan mag ik hopen dat Avast dat ook doet.
De 3 services zijn IP Adress Labs ,IPInfo.IO,en Max Mind
Wat ik eigenaardig vind is dat ik blijkbaar de enigste ben die daar problemen mee heeft.
Als het niet de schuld is van Avast dan is er contractbreuk gepleegd door de verschillende services,vermits ik 2 maanden geen problemen heb gehad.
Ik heb een jaarabonnement op secureline met de bedoeling naar nederlandse TV uitzendingen te kijken.
Als ik dat niet meer kan dan wil ik een teruggave van 10 maanden ttz;50 euro.
Dit is een contract breuk.

Even ter info : Ik ben geen werknemer bij Avast, maar ook gewoon een gebruiker, dus over geld teruggave ga ik niet.
Je kan altijd zelf een klacht indienen dmv een Support Ticked : https://support.avast.com/
Als je dat doet post dan wel even je Ticked ID hier.

Ja, bij mij doet secureline het ook al weken niet meer, heb info gezocht maar wordt steeds doorgestuurd en dan hoor je er niks meer van…

Kleine update over de Amsterdam server :

We've submitted an issue to these providers, but unfortunately, we are still waiting for them to update. I'm not sure if they can give an estimated date when that will be fixed, but I've just asked about that. I'll update you once I get a response.

Ik kan fluiten voor compensatie.
Slechts 2 maanden heb ik gebruik kunnen maken van secureline,terwijl ik een abonnement heb genomen voor een jaar
Ik heb Avast altijd als een ernstige firma beschouwd,maar tot mijn spijt moet ik dat herzien.

Ik heb de volgende email ontvangen van Avast

Regrettably I am unsure how to fix this problem as Avast Secureline seems to be working correctly, as it looks blocked on side of your provider, so hopefully they will update the databases indeed.

Zu Ihrer Frage: Führen Sie bitte ein Update auf die neueste Version 2015.10.3.2225 durch. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf das Avast-Symbol in der Taskleiste, wählen Sie “Aktualisierung” und “Programm”. Anschließend wählen Sie “Aktualisierung” und “Suchmodul und Virendatenbank”.

Damit sollte das Problem behoben sein.
