I’ve just purchased the Secureline VPN & have now noticed I cannot send/receive e-mails anymore once I activate it, therefore am I right in saying this is normal simply because as this is anonymizing my internet connection, & the ISP servers cannot register my e-mail settings etc? Or should this not happen? If anyone has purchased this additional security can you advise if this shouldn’t be happening, then how do I receive e-mails normally again with VPN on?
Welcome to the forum.
You didn’t mention which email service of how receive your email.
On-line, on your computer??? Which program if it’s on your computer ???
Hi,
Thanks for your response, I use Incredimail software have done for years wiht little probs & my ISP provider is Sky, as mentioned I can send/receive e-mails as normal, but as soon as I connect the VPN Secureline, the connection to my account fails?
Nice answer. Just because you don’t like it or use it, doesn’t make it garbage.
@Marksman
I believe the problem is with Sky, your ISP but you’ll need to wait for someone who actually uses that ISP.
I also haven’t had a chance to try retrieving emails while secureline is running.
My ISP is Comcast and I use Windows Live Mail on Windows 8 Pro.
As you can see, I have no problems receiving or sending emails while connected through VPN.
Thanks Bob for your response my thought exactly it’s everyone’s choice that of many e-mail software out there! I am using Gmail & Hotmail anyway with no probs, but at the mo I’m having to send/receive mails first before connecting my VPN. >:(
