Hi, am new to this so sorry if I haven’t done it right!
Have looked on your intro pages and followed instructions for how to check if a file is false positive or not so here’s my answers to those main questions:
-
Threat detected when routinely opening up the .exe for my encrypted USB drive.
Have not had this message before. Message came from Behaviour Shield. -
File source: Verbatim software pre-installed on USB drive
-
Recieved when I purchased USB, 2 years ago
-
Filename: SecurePro.exe
-
Screenshot should be attached.
-
Manually scanned SecurePro.exe with Avast and all okay - nothing detected.
-

I guess it should be fine but I hope you understand I am nervous as I have 8 months of academic work backed up on it as well as on my laptop… I think this whole thing with the cyber-attacks in the news has made me paranoid haha.
Anyway some reassurance would be appreciated as I really want to back up the latest copy of the file I’m working on but am scared to open it… and I have to hand in this file tomorrow. Don’t want a last minute nasty surprise.
Many thanks in advance, SG
